Who you are

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with experience producing complex electromechanical assemblies. You should have a proven track record of moving products through production and bringing them to market. You should have experience with manufacturing processes including casting, stamping, extruding and injection molding.

What you’ll do:

  • Control design changes by reviewing and approving assembly process documents.
  • Review and track implementation of all ECO/ECN/BOM changes and ensure alignment between contract manufacturers and our engineering team. 
  • Test, debug, and validate complex assemblies.
  • Drive rigor in process capability, process layout, process documentation, tooling, and equipment development.
  • Support productivity and LEAN using technical skillset and Lean Six Sigma tools, while ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely, quality and cost-conscious manner.
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Be involved early in NPI programs to provide feedback on Design for Manufacturing (DFM). 
  • Partner with Design Engineering to ensure Production Preparation Process (3P) and Design for Producibility (DFP) to be implemented before design fix stage while optimizing for quality and cost. 
  • Review and approve tooling qualification reports and provide DFM and DFP feedback to sub-suppliers as needed.  
  • Travel to suppliers and customers as required.


What we’re looking for:

  • Chinese speaker with high proficiency in English.  
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of direct work experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of both prototype and production manufacturing and assembly techniques including extrusions, machining, forgings, and castings. 
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively work with a global supplier base and to communicate effectively with a remotely-located design team.
  • Ability to check detailed technical drawings of components and assemblies in a PLM system.
  • Extensive experience working with contract manufacturers launching new product introductions is a plus.
  • APQP experience is beneficial. 
  • Experience with GD&T - ANSI Y14.5 is required.
  • Solidworks experience required. 
  • Experience designing custom fixtures and test equipment for manufacturing end of line testing for electromechanical products is a plus.
  • Experience with a wide range of technologies and projects and previous work experience at both small and large companies is a plus.
