Job Purpose:

Lead the development and implementation of manufacturing and test equipment to ensure delivered product meets quality, cost, and delivery goals.

 

What you’ll do:

Lead equipment development projects from inception to close-out (includes project scope, acceptance criteria, equipment specifications, quoting, installation management, debug, documentation, training, etc).

Work with the Manufacturing Team to develop solutions to meet personal safety, product quality, and manufacturing efficiency/cost goals.

Work with the Manufacturing Team and the Product Development Team to define testing requirements for in-process and End of Line production tests.

Lead or support troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment to support up-time goals.

Assist manufacturing team in diagnosing and solving component and system level failures.

Facilitate the use of 8-D failure analysis processes to address a problem’s root cause.
 

What we’re looking for:      

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of direct work experience.

Experience designing custom fixtures and test equipment for manufacturing electro-mechanical products.

Demonstrated capability working with data acquisition systems, process/test stand automation, and mechanical and electrical systems design.

Proficiency in CAD modeling, preferably Solidworks.

Experience with GD&T - ANSI Y14.5.

Demonstrated successes in leading teams and large scale projects to drive process improvements for quality or cycle time reduction.

Experience in 8D, 6 Sigma, or other standard problem solving methodologies.

Familiarity with Measurement Systems Analysis including GR&Rs and other equipment qualification best practices.

Strong understanding of manufacturing documentation and ISO 9000 requirements.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple and changing priorities.

Ability to work and communicate effectively across all levels of the company.

Experience with a wide range of technologies and projects and previous work experience at both small and large companies is a plus.

Cycling and bike repair experience a plus.
